Industries Minister Mahadev Naik begins his campaign as early as 9 am. He defeated Congress candidates in past two terms and is confident of completing his hat-trick. The minister says, it be a straight fight between BJP and Congress.
At around 12.30 pm Mahadev reaches Amlaya Panchawadi with about hundred supporters. Although there were one or two cases of voters who installed banners against him which went viral on WhatsApp, Mahadev appears to be least bothered.
He terms the move as a conspiracy by his rivals and claims that it will be an easy victory for him due to the development work carried out by the BJP government. His campaign ends around 9 pm.
