PANJIM: Union Minister for Railways, Suresh Prabhu said that the world’s top class luxury train ‘The Maharaja Express’ will soon ply en-route western and southern states from this year end.
“Till now the Maharaja Express has been only operating North India covering the national capital Delhi and Rajasthan but now it will be launched in the West and South India. The train will cover states which include Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka, which will bring world class tourists to all these states,” Prabhu said while speaking to reporters on the side-lines of the programme.
He further said that he has already had a discussion with Manohar Parrikar regarding the launch of this world class train, which will help the Goa’s tourism industry to flourish.
