VASCO: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday said the agencies involved in coal handling will have the state-of-the-art facility which will be a totally enclosed operation free from dust and added that this has been pre-condition for expansion of coal handling at MPT.
“The air will be cleaner than today and that has to be the assurance from the coal handling agencies otherwise, no one can handle coal. If they fulfil this assurance then why there would be any problem. The facility that would be in place will be state-of-the-art, it would be a totally enclosed operation as dust cannot come out. If everything is done properly then there is no problem. If you make a complete enclosed operational unit and then there would not be any worry of pollution and then why only coal, they can handle anything there,” Parrikar said.
