PANJIM: The core committee of the Congress Mahila Block Margao along with core members of various self help groups in Margao met on Wednesday to chalk out their plan to rally in support of Congress Candidate Reginaldo Lourenco.
Block President and MMC Councillor Doris Texeira chaired the meeting in the presence of other members, ex-chairperson of MMC Sushilla Naik, coordinator of Self Help groups Mangella Shirvant and others.
The committee decided that they would themselves canvas in the Margao constituency to campaign for the candidate, hand out pamphlets and appeal to the people of Margao to support Reginaldo.
They decided to mobilize the women folk of the constituency to get involved in the campaigning itinerary and assure the people that the party candidate will voice their opinions of women reservation
and women safety at the centre.
