PANJIM: In a major administrative reshuffle, the government on Friday ended the long run that Sanjit Rodrigues had as Commissioner of Corporation of City of Panaji replacing him with Deepak Desai.
Department of personnel on the recommendation of Goa Service Board, and with the approval of the government, transferred 17 officers, including Collector South Sachin Shinde and Additional Collector Swapnil Naik.
Shinde has been posted as Administrator of Goa Medical College and Hospital, which is currently facing accusations of malfunctioning. Naik, Commissioner of Labour and Employment, has been transferred as Collector South replacing Shinde.
Additional Secretary (Home) Sanjiv Gadkar has been transferred as Additional Collector (Bardez) with additional charge of Director NRI affairs. YB Tavade will retain his post as Additional Collector II of South Goa but in addition has been posted as Chief Officer of Margao Municipal Council and also Administrator of Sajivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana.
Amarsen Rane has been posted as Director Provedoria with additional charge as Member Secretary, Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA). Arvind Bugde is Additional Collector II North and Srinet Kotwale is Additional Secretary (Home) as well as Member Secretary, Sanjay School.
Siddhivinayak Naik, who was awaiting posting, has been given charge as additional inspector general of prisons. Venancio Furtado will be director, Settlement and Land Records with additional charge as SLAO Mopa Airport. Agnelo A J Fernandes has been posted as Commissioner of Labour and Employment.
Gopal Parsekar has been posted as Secretary Goa Konkani Academy and Damodar Morajkar as Additional Director of Panchayat with additional charge of additional collector sub district Ponda.
Ashok Rane has been posted as Director of Industries, Trade and Commerce and given additional charge of director Handicraft, Textile and Choir.
Sabaji Shetye has been posted as Joint Secretary (Protocol) with additional charge of MD Goa Housing Board, while Upasana Mazgaonkar has been posted as Managing Director, Goa State Commission for Backward Classes.
