QUEPEM: Reality has come to the fore with the abysmal state and condition of some Anganwadis in Goa when the entire roof of the premises in Gawal-Khola in Quepem came crashing down on Wednesday night due to the heavy rains.
However, it was fortunate that the incident happened at night if not 23 innocent children along with the attendant and helper would have all lost their lives in the disastrous incident.
Local resident Prabhakar Vaidhya stated that the issue is serious in nature around 23 children study. “Had it to happen in the morning then God alone knows what could have happened, said Vaidya and questioned the idea of housing Anganwadis in such dilapidated structures.
