Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) of Goa Police, led by PSI Dindayal Redkar, has successfully apprehended an individual near the Baseball Court, Vagator Gymkhana. The accused, identified as Vishwas alias Sanjay Agarwadekar, a 51-year-old resident of H.no. 175, Zhor Waddo, Anjuna, Bardez, was found in possession of a substantial quantity of narcotics with an estimated value of Rs 18.30 lakh.
The seizure included (1) 1.2 kg of black sticky substance suspected to be Charas, (2) 2.3 kg of greenish-colored leafy substance suspected to be Ganja, and (3) whitish-colored powder suspected to be Ecstasy. The operation took place between 3:00 AM and 6:15 AM on February 7, 2024.
The complaint, filed under Cr.No. 03/24, cites violations under Section 20(b) (ii) (B) & 22(C) of the NDPS Act 1985. The ANC team, under the supervision of PSI S. Falkar, acted swiftly, leading to the arrest of Vishwas @ Sanjay Agarwadekar.
The operation underscores the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies to curb the illicit drug trade, with the ANC taking proactive measures to maintain the safety and well-being of the community. Vishwas @ Sanjay Agarwadekar is now in custody, awaiting legal proceedings.
