Mali envoy to India has Goan links

Yeah Samake is the son-in-law of Cuncolim

CUNCOLIM: The newly-appointed Mali ambassador to India has Goan links. Yeah Samake is the son-in-law of Cuncolim, his wife Marrisa Coutinho Samake being a daughter from of the town who settled along with her parents in Mali. 
Coutinho has roots in Sovorcotto, Cuncolim and remembers her native place. In a message to friends and family members from Cuncolim, Marrisa said she was happy to return to “my county India, which has a rich culture and tradition. I and my husband are excited and eager to visit India.” Marrisa said she is coming to India to strengthen the cultural and economic ties with India and the Indian sub continent. She also said she will visit her home town. The Samakes will be based in New Delhi and Yeah will have charge of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. Cuncolkars have sent greetings to Marrisa welcoming her back to India and have expressed happiness on the appointment. They have also sent invitations to the Mali Ambassador to visit Cuncolim.
