BICHOLIM: The famous Malyachi zatra of Maya Kelbai Panchayatan Devasthan, Mayem which was scheduled to be held on April 20 at Mayem, Bicholim taluka has been cancelled this year following the rise in Corona cases in Goa.
The organising committee members of Maya Kelbai Panchayatan Devasthan said the decision has been taken at a special meeting held at the office of district collectorate North Goa.
Bicholim Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit who is the devasthan administrator said the district Collector has restricted the crowds at the zatra and other religious events following the increase in Corona cases.
