MARGAO: A Mamlatdar in Salcete named Raghuraj Fal Desai disposed of 504 out of 700 mutation cases that came up before him in the last two years. Interestingly four out of the 700 cases were disposed of in just four days. Several others were disposed within less than 45 days.
The procedure for mutation cases usually takes a minimum of 45 days which includes at least three hearings, a notice period of more than 20 days and additional time if the notices are not received in which case the notice has to be published on paper.
