VALPOI: Valpoi Mamlatdar Dashrath Gawas on Monday held a special meeting in his chamber with the police and traffic police officials to implement the traffic management plan in the town.
VMC Chairman Parvin Shaikh, Valpoi PI Shivram Vaigankar, traffic cell officials, councillor Akhtar Sha, and other officials were present.
“We have come out with a good traffic management plan for Valpoi town and we have submitted the copy of the same to the North Goa Collector and Deputy Collector, Bicholim for approval. We have implemented the plan in town for a month and have given one month for the public to address their grievances. Locals especially from town can submit their grievances before October 26,” Dashrath Gawas said.
He said, “The locals in the town have encroached upon the road especially in Wards 3 and 10 by constructing shops and garages in public property. We will initiate strict action against them soon.”
