MARGAO: Margao Town Police have arrested 25 year old Babal Nandalal for rape and cheating as he fled with a girl from Goa promising to marry her and even though she delivered a child has not married her as yet.
The girl had lodged her complaint on June this year and police traced Babal from his native place in Himachal Pradesh where he had taken the girl and lived with her. He has been charged under sections 376 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and has been remanded to eight days police custody.
