MARGAO: Margao District and Sessions Judge Bela Naik convicted Bhimappa alias Bhim Singh Rathod Kattimani of attempting to rape and outrage the modesty of a woman. He was convicted under Sections 354 and 376 of IPC.
Bhim had attempted to rape a woman near the JCB showroom in Verna. He was arrested on July 11, 2014. The arguments on point of sentence have been kept for September 3.
