Man drowns in Tambdi Surla waterfall

A 20-year-old man from Barazan-Khadakhi, Sattari, drowned in Vazarakade-Tambdi Surla waterfall on Sunday at about 1 pm.
According to Collem Police Inspector Manoj Mardolkar, a group of six persons from Barazan went to Vazarakade waterfall, which is situated in dense forest, about 5 kms from Tambdi Surla.
PI Mardolkar further informed that the deceased Naresh Girodkar slipped and fell into the waterfall.
Collem Police rushed to the site and after conducting search operations with the help of Valpoi Fire Brigade personnel, the body was finally fished out at about 5.30 pm.
The body was later sent to GMC Hospital in Bambolim for post mortem.
