The police then showed them the photo of the person found dead at Santrem-Bogmallo and the locals identified him as Viresh Hiremat from Mangor.
Sources informed Herald that Hiremat had come down from the Gulf about five months ago. On Monday, Hiremat had taken Rs 10,000 from his uncle on the pretext of going to Mumbai to go back to his service in the Gulf.
On Monday afternoon, Hiremat had gone to visit his aunt who is admitted in a hospital, but was denied entry as he was found in an intoxicated state.
Later in the evening, some friends received a call from Hiremat stating that he was at Assoi-Dongri in Dabolim. That was the last they had heard of him and Hiremat failed to return home
that night.
