PANJIM: The Cyber Crime Police on Thursday arrested Subhash Mhapsekar, 29, a youth from Mollem for allegedly creating a fake Instagram account of a woman and posting her morphed nude pictures on social networking sites
An offence under section 66-C, 67 and 67-A of IT Act was registered by the Cyber Crime Police upon the complaint of the victim, that an unknown accused created the complainant’s fake Instagram account and thereafter started posting her morphed nude pictures on social networking sites
Upon investigation it was ascertained that the accused and the complainant were working at the same place and he had developed a liking for her while the woman ignored him. Irked on him being spurned, he then allegedly created her fake Instagram account and allegedly posted her morphed nude photos on social networking sites
Mhapsekar was arrested by PI Reema Naik and her team.
