Man held for possessing drugs

CALANGUTE, AUG 22
A 40-year-old man from Cobra Vaddo, Calangute, was arrested on charges of illegally possessing drugs in the village on Friday.
A Calangute police team led by PI Nolasco Raposo and PSI Jacques Sherif nabbed Tyron Nazareth at 6.30 pm and seized drugs, including heroin, ganga and charas, all worth Rs 11,830. He was later remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
Police said the accused was earlier involved in a similar offence and had undergone six-and-half years imprisonment. PSI Jacques Sherif is investigating the case.
