MAPUSA: Ramnath Vaigankar, aged 72, from Khaparbhat, Nachinola, sustained injuries after a tree came crashing down on his motorcycle while he was travelling along the road.
The Mapusa Fire Station was informed about the incident and a team headed by Sub Officer A S Parab rushed to the spot and cleared the road.
Damaged electricity wires were also fixed. Vaigankar, who sustained injuries to his hand and head, was immediately shifted to the District Hospital at Mapusa.
