Man killed in Mapusa mishap

A 28-year-old man from Agonda-Sawantwadi was killed when he was knocked down by a tempo near Kharaswada at around 10 am on Friday.
According to the Mapusa police, Jeevaji Baburao Naik was preceding from Mapusa to Colvale on his motorcycle (GA-04-B-3065), when a Swaraj Mazda tempo (GA-03-T-7247) while overtaking dashed the motorcycle near Kharaswada.
Naik lost his balance and fell off the motorcycle. He sustained grievous head injuries and was shifted to Asilo Hospital, where he was declared on admission by the doctors. An offence has been registered against the tempo driver and PSI Sandeep Kesarkar is investigating the case.
