CURCHOREM: Curchorem fire personnel saved a 45-year-old man from drowning in the Zuari River at Baagwada, Curchorem, on Sunday.
According to fire officials, they received a call from Baagwada locals informing that a man was drowning in the river. A team led by firefighter Santosh Gaonkar immediately rushed to the site and rescued the man. The man was handed over to Curchorem police as he refused to disclose his name and address.
When contacted, Curchorem police said that the man had not revealed his name, but told them that he is a resident of Shiroda. Police will now visit Shiroda to verify the same.
