MARGAO: A resident of Aquem, Margao, Chandrakant Kudalker,53, succumbed to his injuries at Goa Medical College (GMC) after falling at Sernabatim Beach. The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday evening when Kudalker, along with his family, visited the beach.
According to the Colva police, Kudalker joined a fisherman who was pulling in a boat loaded with fish using a strong rope. During this activity, the rope reportedly broke, causing Kudalker to fall and suffer a hand injury. He was initially taken to South Goa District Hospital and later transferred to a private hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was further shifted to GMC in Bambolim.
Despite medical intervention, Kudalker succumbed to his injuries. Colva police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC, and the body has been shifted to the morgue at GMC. Authorities are awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination. PSI Subhash Gaonker is leading the investigation into the incident.
