PANJIM: Art and Culture minister Dayanand Mandrekar on Thursday apologized for his statement on Nigerians. The minister had described them as a “cancer”.
Mandrekar had made this remark while talking to reporters on Sunday. His remark had sparked off a controversy compelling him to apologize on Thursday.
“I apologize for making such a statement,” Mandrekar said. He, however, maintained that what the Nigerians did last week was not correct. Blocking the highway and clashing with was wrong, he added.
