Mandrem Police Arrest Russian National for Allegedly Staying Illegally in Goa

Mandrem Police Station has arrested a 59-year-old Russian national for allegedly residing illegally in Goa without valid passport and visa documents.

According to police sources, the foreign national was found overstaying in India in violation of immigration regulations.

Based on a complaint lodged by Police Constable Shyam Krishna Fale of Mandrem Police Station, a case was registered under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.

After completing the required legal formalities, police formally placed the accused under arrest.

Investigators are also probing the activities and motive behind the Russian national’s alleged illegal stay in Goa.

Mandrem Police have informed the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and requested that the Embassy of Russia in India along with the accused’s family members be notified about the arrest.
