PANJIM: The Mandrem Police finally traced the missing Nepali woman, who had gone missing from a guesthouse on Monday.
According to the police, a missing report was lodged by the guesthouse owner wherein he informed that the woman identified as Aarti Hamal had gone missing.
Upon receipt of the report, the Mandrem Police under the supervision of SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS and Pernem SDPO Jivba Dalvi and Mandrem PI Sheriff Jacques formed various teams which immediately checked the neighbouring hospitals in Goa and various hotels.
During the extensive analysis of CCTV footages, the missing woman was traced at Chopdem, Pernem, within 10 hours of the missing report.
The woman was living at Osho Meditation Centre at Ashvem for the past one month and was scheduled to return to Nepal this week. However, as she was not found in the resort for past couple of days, the owner of the resort informed the family and also filed a complaint with the Mandrem Police.
Aarti’s father, Gopal Hamal, who is mayor of a city in Nepal, took to X (formerly Twitter) to make an appeal to Goans and authorities in Goa seeking help to locate his daughter.
