PERNEM: Ecstatic BJP workers of Mandrem constituency staged a huge rally to welcome the newly elected Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar in his constituency on Saturday evening.
Accompanied by a brass band, the victory rally commenced from the Siolim-Chopdem Bridge and passed through Parcem village, where Parsekar stopped to seek blessings of the Goddess Bhagwati at the Bhagwati temple at Parcem.
The rally then proceeded towards Mandrem and Arambol village, where he also stopped at the Rawalnath temple.
Thousands of supporters who took part in the rally then gathered at the old residence of the new chief minister at Parsekarwaddo at Arambol.
