PANJIM: The Mandrem Panchayat has directed at beach resort at Ashwevada to stop commercial business over lack of permissions from concerned authorities.
In a letter written to the resort, the Panchayat Secretary stated that the site inspection was carried out by the Mandrem Village Panchayat and it was revealed that the resort was conducting business without valid permissions from the Panchayat.
“You are hereby directed to immediately stop the ongoing commercial business in survey no 211/2-A plot of Mandrem village failing which, this panchayat will proceed with the further course of action as per the provision of law,” the VP Secretary said.
Earlier, the Panchayat had passed a unanimous resolution in a fortnightly meeting held on March 21, 2024, to issue a stop notice and conduct the site inspection of the resort which was being run without valid permissions from the civic body.
