PORVORIM: Two motorcycle-borne culprits snatched away the mangalsutra, valued at approximately Rs 80,000, from the neck of a 40-year-old woman while she was plucking flowers near her residence at Alto Porvorim, on Thursday morning.
Pooja Jadhav complained to the Porvorim police that the crime occurred near Chubby Cheeks primary school on Chogm road. She said that two culprits came on a black colour motorcycle, stopped near her, snatched her mangalsutra and fled away from the spot.
Police have registered a case under Sections 356, 379 Read With 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
