MARGAO: The Council for Social Justice and Peace (CSJP) and the Conference of Religious India (CRI, Goa Unit) is jointly organising a ‘Prayer for Peace’ event on July 8 at 3.30 pm at Azad Maidan in Panjim to pray for peace in Manipur.
“You are certainly aware of the unprecedented violence and loss of life and property of the people in Manipur,” joint statement stated.
“The suffering of the people, though in a distant place, calls for an expression of solidarity with them. People of goodwill have a bounden duty to raise concerns and request the government to restore peace and harmony among all in the region,” said Fr Savio Fernandes, CSJP Executive Secretary and Sr Flory Rodrigues, CRI Goa President in a joint statement.
“Let us seek divine assistance for peace in different parts of our nation among all communities,” they added.
