MAPUSA: The Mapusa Municipal Council passed a resolution to have E-governance at an ordinary council meeting, convened by Chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar in presence of Chief officer on Wednesday. The meeting turned chaotic when several issues, including parking, sewerage and hot-mixing of roads came up for discussion.
Chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar said, “Files go missing or are untraceable. Due to this the council has decided to go for E-governance.”
The council discussed hot-mixing, underground cabling, sewarage, toilet, pay parking which are some of the issues haunting the Mapusa town.
Vaigankar said that they recently visited the sewerage Plant which she said is almost ready and they have resolved for connection on trial basis in several wards which are close to the plant.
