MAPUSA: The Boxing Hall at the Sports Complex Peddem is all set for the Counting of Mapusa Municipal election to be held on Monday
Twenty tables have been set up to count votes of all the 20 wards of Mapusa in the boxing hall of the sports complex. Counting of votes will be taken up with one ward after another based on the polling station. Counting will be completed with maximum two or three rounds, said an official.
Due to restrictions in place because of COVID pandemic, only authorised persons with authorised Identity Card will be allowed inside the counting room said an official. This includes the election agent, candidates, counting agents and election team of Returning Officer.
Sources said that even the police personnel will have to obtain permission of the Returning Officer to enter into the counting hall.
