MAPUSA: Although rest of Goa witnessed flooding, it was a very unusual story at Mapusa and other parts of Bardez which barely witnessed any major incident of flooding or water logging.
Mapusa witnessed light to moderate rains but this failed to affect the Friday market in Mapusa in particular with vendors seen on the streets as usual. The hawkers and daily vendors conducted their business like any other Friday at the market lane.
However, vendors selling grains, pulses and other perishable goods kept away from Friday market due to the weather condition.
