Mapusa local booked for obstructing DyCM’s car

PANJIM: Panjim Police on Monday booked Romit Nasnodkar, a resident of Duler, for allegedly obstructing the official vehicle of Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza on Sunday night.

Police said that D’Souza was travelling from South Goa to his residence in Mapusa when he was obstructed by the car from Verna onwards. 
He was intercepted by Panjim Police near KTC bus stand. 
Police said that Nasnodkar did not allow the escort vehicle of the deputy CM to overtake him. Police have registered an offence under Sections 279, 341 and 341.
He was placed under arrest on Monday and released on bail.
