MAPUSA: Mapusa MLA Francis D’Souza, who is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital near Panjim, is in ICU but his health condition is much better, revealed Joshua D’Souza, his son and Mapusa councillor on Wednesday.
The Mapusa MLA had suffered from a viral infection and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Joshua informed that his father was undergoing treatment for the last few days at the private hospital as his immune system is low.
“Dad is responding to treatment and is much better now. We hope and pray that he will be home soon,” he said but was unable to ascertain when Francis would be discharged.
It may be recalled that after a long gap on January 15, the Mapusa MLA had attended a public function. Last year, the MLA had travelled to Mumbai and underwent treatment. He was later flown to the US in August for further treatment.
