PANJIM: The suspect from West Bengal, arrested in the Mapusa jeweller’s murder case has reportedly confessed to his crime.
Sources in the Crime Branch, which is investigation the year old case, said Sahidul Ismael has confessed of his involvement in the killing of Ratnakar Raikar. Sources said the suspect was taken to crime scene ~ Kamaxi Jewellers store, Mapusa where the victim was fatally stabbed and the assailants decamped with 3 kg of gold. Ismael, who worked as an artisan at Raikar’s store, was arrested from his native place. He is presently in 14 days police custody. It is learnt that the team is looking out for more suspects involved in the offence.
