PONDA: The Office of Ponda Mamlatdar who is Electoral Regitration Officer (ERO) on draft delimitation of wards for Panchayat Election in Ponda Taluka has decided to conduct hearing on delimitation of Marcaim panchayat wards.
Premanand Gaude, president of Marcaim Nagrik Kruti Sangh (MNKS) had filed objection at ERO Ponda against delimitation of nine wards in Marcaim Panchayat alleging that it was unconstitutional and unlawful. Taking note of it Gaude was asked to present at ERO office on Friday with relevant documents/plan showing the geographic continuity of wards in the panchayat.
In this connection next hearing is fixed on 7 March, said Premanand Gaude. He also thanked Herald for coverage on ward delimitation issue.
