MARGAO: The Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Officer (CO) Agnelo Fernandes has called a meeting on February 16 to discuss the modalities of organising the Margao float parade of Carnival 2022 which will be held on Sunday, February 27, at Margao starting from the SGPDA ground to Borkar Supermarket junction, Fatorda.
As informed by the CO, the meeting will have all stakeholders associated with the float parade at Margao and will be held at his chamber at MMC.
“Like last year, the annual Margao Carnival Float Parade will be held maintaining all government SOPs and traffic arrangements will be undertaken accordingly so as to not cause any inconvenience to the public,” he stated.
The CO has requested the department heads of various stakeholders to send a representative from their office.
It may be recalled that last year, the CO had successfully organised the Margao float parade which was well appreciated and applauded for his smooth organisational skills.
