MARGAO: Margao Comunidade elected its managing committee without the deputies.
And there was no quorum constituted at four places for elections to the new managing committee: No quorum was formed at Macasana, Carmona, Dramapur and Sernabatim where the government will now appoint a managing committee.
At Margao Merwin Roque Cruz was elected as the President while Savio Xavier Rodrigues was elected the Attorney and Vincent Barreto Gracias was elected the Treasurer. There were no nominations for deputy president, deputy attorney and deputy treasurer hence it was declared that there were no elections held to these posts.
At Cavorim Andrew D’Silva was elected the President while Augusto D’Silva was elected the Substitute President. Agnelo Fernandes was elected as Treasurer with Bertrand Joseph D’Silva being elected as Deputy Treasurer. Luel Fernandes was elected Attorney and Jose Coutinho as Substitute Treasurer.
