MARGAO: Margao Municipal Councillors are all set to go on a study tour to Mount Abu. Presently, 15 councillors have confirmed their travel and four more are expected to confirm their participation soon. However, the chairperson and vice chairperson are not part of this tour.
Councillor Damu Naik has informed that the tour has been planned and organised by the Directorate of Municipal Administration. The tour will begin on January 21.
The Councillors will first head to Ahemdabad by flight and further will travel for 6 hours to Mount Abu.
The Councillors also informed that the study tour operational part is from January 22-23. The Councillors will come back to Goa on January 26.
Chairperson Pooja Naik and Vice Chairperson Tito Cardozo are reportedly not a part of the group. Chief Officer Ajit Panchwadkar will also be traveling along the Councillors to the hill station.
The following are the councilors who will be part of the study tour: Arthur D’Silva, Ketan Kurtarkar, Suchita Malkarnekar, Avinash Shirodkar, Deepa Shirodkar, Raju Shirodkar, Peter Fernandes, Jose Pereira, Lyndon Pereira, Damu Naik, Sugandha Bandekar, Babita Prabhudessai, Dorris Texeira, Angelis Pereira and Manoj Masurkar.
