MARGAO: The frequent power cuts in Margao and Fatorda over the past three weeks have irked the residents who have called on the Electricity Department to address the issue as they complained that their electrical appliances at home are getting damaged.
Over the past three weeks, there have been power fluctuations once every few hours and at night, sometimes there is no power for a long period, they complained.
The residents claimed that there are “power-on and power-off” situations, which are dangerous to their electrical home appliances such as refrigerator, TV, etc. Besides this, these power cuts affect their sleep and prevent them from carrying out their daily chores, etc.
The locals have questioned the departments why this issue has not been resolved despite the constant power fluctuations for the past three weeks.
