MARGAO: The residents of Margao and Fatorda are disappointed that the power outages that had troubled them in April are following them in May too.
All the areas coming under the Margao municipal jurisdiction are subjected to power outages, at least, eight to ten times a day, which last for a minimum 20 minutes and sometimes it stretches to an hour.
However, Superintending Engineer Laxmikant Kolvenkar refused to take responsibility for the power outages by blaming it on the incoming line grid failures.
When pointed out that there have been major blackouts and voltage fluctuations and frequent power outage in the city, he claimed it was a local problem.
