Preparations are in full swing at the Margao KTCL bus stand as it gears up for a significant transformation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting scheduled for February 6th. The venue is poised to evolve into a spacious open area, capable of accommodating a crowd of 50 thousand. Recognized as a suitable location for the public gathering during PM Modi’s visit, the Margao KTCL bus stand is readying itself to host the substantial audience expected.
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to visit Goa for the launch of India Energy Week 2024 and to lead the Vikasit Bharat Vikasit Goem 2047 rally, the Margao KTCL bus stand is currently undergoing a comprehensive makeover.
Workers are actively engaged in cleaning and sweeping, and visible signs of tar mixing indicate forthcoming hot mixing procedures. A large open-sided temporary pavilion is also slated for construction in anticipation of the massive gathering.
To facilitate the renovations, the government has made the decision to temporarily relocate the operations of the KTC bus stand to an open ground opposite the SAG artificial turf ground, owned by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. Inter-State bus services will be redirected to the SGPDA ground. Consequently, all bus services at Margao will be temporarily suspended from February 1 to 8. Keep an eye out for further developments as Margao readies itself for this monumental event.
