MARGAO: Till late Tuesday evening there was no communication to Margao Town Police Station regarding Health Minister Vishwajit Rane’s statement that the complaint against 70-year-old Maria D’Cruz and 40-year-old Avita Godinho, for shouting at the Health Minister, while he was on a visit at Hospicio on Sunday, was to be withdrawn.

Police Inspector Philomeno Costa, who is holding charge of Margao Police Station, said that statements of some witnesses were recorded, including the security guard at Hospicio at the time of the incident.
However, police could not trace the two women and their statements will be recorded subsequently, the Police Inspector said.
