MARGAO The principal of the Loyola school in Margao has applied for anticipatory bail on Wednesday after he feared arrest in the case of alleged harsh punishment to a 13-year-old student studying in his institution.
The case of punishment at school is now taken a interesting turn after some of the ex-students and eminent alumni of the institution have now decided to meet the police inspector of Margao town to express their dissent over the allegations levelled against the principal of the school.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed messages where surfacing on social media backing the principal and claimed his innocence in this case. Many among those who supported the principal included the alumni of the prestigious school who alleged that a well-known social activist of South Goa had lodged a false complaint to settle a personal score with the principal.
