MARGAO: Just eight years after its inauguration, the Ravindra Bhavan in Margao is in shambles.
However, the present condition of Ravindra Bhavan is dire as the structure has developed cracks through which water seeps in causing the paint peel off. Besides, the exterior is also in need of painting.
Though the pavers at the parking and the entry points have been replaced, still a large at the rear gate yet to be covered with pavers.
Earlier, the management committee of Ravindra Bhavan had said that the works of painting and minor civil works had been approved by the government and the same would start soon. However, the same has been reportedly held up due to code of conduct.
When contacted, Ravindra Bhavan Member Secretary Yashwant Tawde said that he had just taken charge and he would soon look into the matter.
