Margao’s Ravindra Bhavan launches Club, announces upgrades

MARGAO: In a bid to rejuvenate the cultural landscape, the Ravindra Bhavan-Margao on Tuesday launched the Ravindra Bhavan Club and a revamped show display board.

Rajendra Talak, Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan-Margao, revealed plans for further enhancements within the next month, including the installation of a new screen, projector, and sound system in the main auditorium.

The event, graced by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and acclaimed tiatr director Prince Jacob, marks a renewed commitment to supporting artists and fostering the performing arts in the district.

MLA Kamat expressed optimism about the positive impact of the newly established Ravindra Bhavan Club on artists, providing a platform for the realisation of creative plans and artistic concepts.

Talak articulated the vision to transform Ravindra Bhavan into a vibrant hub where artists can converge, share ideas, and contribute to the cultural tapestry. To attract a broader audience, particularly for tiatr shows and other cultural programmes, the show display board has been given a fresh look.

Acknowledging the efforts of Ravindra Bhavan, tiatrist Prince Jacob urged the committee to continue upgrading facilities inside the main auditorium to accommodate larger audiences.
