Mario elected GATP chief

PANJIM: The Goa Association of Teachers of Portuguese (GATP) conducted their annual body meeting recently at Gaspar Dias, Miramar.
The following were elected: president: Mario Monteiro De Souza, vice president: (north) Clifton Afonso, vice president (south) Sandra Noronha D’Silva, secretary: Maureen Alvares, assistant secretary: Sharon D’Mello and treasurer: Victor Mendonca.  The Editor for the term will be Sara De Mello.
The outgoing president Maria Do Ceu’ Barreto thanked all the members for their co-operation and support.
The newly elected President Mario Monteiro De Souza said that a youth wing will soon be formed of all the students studying Protuguese in Xth and XIIth standard.
