A massive oil spill was reported on Old Goa – Kundai highway along the Panjim-Ponda lane on Tuesday morning. It is suspected that the oil spilt from an oil tanker which was taking the route. The oil spill caused a traffic jam along the Corlim -Banastarim road and around 30 two-wheeler riders fell due to the slippery conditions and low traction. Fire officials received a call at 8:20 am, rushed to the site and covered the oil with mud to avoid further accidents.
