MAPUSA: After holding a meeting with karyakartas of Porvorim and Saligao constituency, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that the list with maximum number of candidates contesting on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket will be declared by January 16.
“Process of selecting candidates has already started. Before declaring the tickets, we will take the karyakartas into confidence and by taking their suggestions the list of names of aspirant candidates will be sent to Centre Parliamentary board. The board will be having a meeting on January 16 and from Jan 16 onwards, names of maximum candidates will be declared.”
When questioned about Calangute constituency, Chief Minister said, “BJP karyakartas from Calangute will select its candidate and BJP will have its strongest candidate in Calangute. We are confident of getting 22 plus seats and BJP will win all the seven seats in Bardez with majority.”
