PANJIM: Konkani writer Maya Kharangate has bagged the Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel Amrutvel” in the novel category.
The sahitya Akademi announced its awards in 23 Indian languages on Thursday seven, books of poetry, six novel, two short stories, three play/dramas, two literary/criticism, one each of autobiographical essays, collection of articles and literary history have won the Sahitya Akademi awards 2022.
The award in the Bengali language will be declared later.
The award in the form of a Casket containing an engraved copper-plaque, a shawl and an amount of Rs one lakh towards cash content each will be presented to the awardees at the award presentation function which will be held at a later date.
