Mayem block recommends 3 names for Cong ticket

BICHOLIM: The Mayem Congress block has recommended the names of three aspirants to the Congress ticket to contest the 2017 assembly elections.

BICHOLIM: The Mayem Congress block has recommended the names of three aspirants to the Congress ticket to contest the 2017 assembly elections. A block meeting of Mayem block was held at Mahamaya Vachanalya today under the guidance of Mayem constituency observer and former MLA Pratap Gawas. 
The meeting was also attended by block president Anand Naik, vice president Ashok Nagvekar, secretary Chimaji Munji, women front president Aparnadevi Rane, North Goa district committee member Vishwanath Dhawaskar, Atchut Gaonkar, Mayem block incharge Sunil Kauthankar and large number of activists.
At the meeting, the workers unanimously demanded that the party allot tickets to only local candidates from Mayem to earn the dedication and loyalty of workers and win the election. 
The names of candidates recommended by the unit are Anand Naik, Sunil Kauthankar and Sandeep Mainkar. Anand Naik is a loyal Congress party activist for the last three decades; Sandeep Mainkar is also a local candidate; and Sunil Kauthankar hails from Porvorim.
